Trenton, NJ (July 29, 2011) — The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 269 has made a leadership gift of $100,000 to the Campaign for Capital Health. The gift is dedicated to the hospital’s $600 million expansion project that includes a new, state-of-the-art hospital in Hopewell Township.

Capital Health’s new hospital in Hopewell, a 540,000 square foot facility, will feature the latest advances in medical and information technology within a patient and family-focused and environmentally conscious, healing setting. The hospital is expected to be open in November.

“This wonderful leadership gift from the IBEW illustrates the strong partnership between Capital Health, the community, the trade’s council and our contractors. With IBEW’s strong support, Capital Health is continuing to advance as a leader in healthcare in the Central New Jersey region, providing residents with optimal medical care close to home,” said Arline M. Stephan, executive director of the Capital Health Foundation.

“On behalf of the members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 269, we thank Capital Health for keeping our members healthy and for building their facility in Hopewell,” said Wayne DeAngelo, NJ Assemblyman and assistant business manager of IBEW Union 269.
